Family Pictures at the Island in Pigeon Forge

Meet the Sivestros! This spunky little family had the great idea to take their Smoky Mountain family pictures at The Island in Pigeon Forge during their vacation. I just love the fun-loving feeling this location lent to their images. 

If you're visiting the Pigeon Forge area, you should check it out! The Island is a cute little area with unique shopping, rides, and tasty, tasty food! It's a great way to spend the afternoon during your Smoky Mountain vacation with stuff to do for everyone. I need to make it back up there myself soon to check out the Paula Deen restraunt. 

It was a busy day at the Island, but we were able to make some great spots for family pictures! My personal favorite was probably the carousel; super cute! 

The fountains were a close second for a favorite spot! The way the water caught the light when it shot up, was just perfect for the background of their photos. So differnt and fun!

It took a bit of patience, waiting for people to pass to grab some of this cute spots, but it was so worth it in the end. 

Best Place To Eat in Pigeon Forge | Amazing Burger | The Local Goat

Local Restaurants | Pigeon Forge

Need a great place to eat in Pigeon Forge? Run, don't walk to The Local Goat. It's a fabulous place that just opened last year that I just had the pleasure to experience. My husband and I drove past it a few weeks ago, and the name intrigued me enough to look it up. The menu won me over on their website, so we made a point to check it out.

The service was absolutely wonderful and the food was amazing. 

We started with their Deep Fried Deviled Eggs. While it sounds crazy, I would make the hour drive from my house up there to eat those every day of my life. So. Darn. 

The burgers were just what a burger should be. Perfectly cooked, well-seasoned, and served with tasty fries and housemade ketchup. I'm a super picky burger eater, and I wouldn't change a thing. 

This is the best local place I've eaten at in Pigeon Forge. Five stars from me for sure!

Cades Cove Family Pictures

Extended Families are the best! When Melanie contacted me to capture her fun family while they were all on vacation together, I was thrilled! I love getting to be a part of these big families while they visit the Smoky Mountains. Plus, Smoky Mountain pictures are to die for! Sharing the natural beauty I experience on a daily basis =). I seriously can't tell you how much I love being a Gatlinburg photographer!

Of course, we had to get a picture of all of the family together with the mountains! No stay in Gatlinburg would be complete without it! They are such a lovely bunch, and such pleasant company!

So much of my work is beautiful, posed portraits, which are GREAT, but sometimes the candids are my very favorites. This sweet little family had fun playing in the field and we got some candid fun on camera with the stunning Smoky Mountains in the background. oh, and that light!!
